“THE ROAD AHEAD” ALBUM LAUNCH

One show only in Melbourne and Sydney

–     Thur, Nov 7 @ Bennetts Lane Jazz Club (MELB)

–     Thur, Nov 14 @ The Sound Lounge, Seymour Centre (SYD)

After the recent announcement of Albare’s signing to ABC Music in Australia and New Zealand, the jazz guitar virtuoso will perform one intimate show in Melbourne and Sydney to launch his latest album, “The Road Ahead” on Thursday, November 7 at Bennetts Lane Jazz Club, Melbourne and Thursday, November 14 at The Sound Lounge, Seymour Centre in Sydney.

This year, Albare has achieved success with his US tour and is currently on tour in Europe, where he is receiving critical praise for his live shows and latest album.

‘The Road Ahead’ was recorded in New York earlier this year, receiving glowing reviews and USA Jazz Chart success since its international release through ENJA Records, the famous legendary German label.

Recorded in Brooklyn, ‘The Road Ahead’ features a line-up of choice:  Melbourne-based pianist Phil Turcio, Cuban bassist Yunior Terry and Venezuelan drummer Pablo Bencid.

Joining Albare on stage at Bennetts Lane and Seymour Centre will be Phil Turcio (Piano), Phil Rex (Bass) and Darryn Ferrugia (Drums), all musicians with whom Albare shares a music history.

What the INTERNATIONAL media is saying about ALBARE:

“ … absolutely terrific guitar playing by Albare …. Exceptional.” SYNTHESIS WEEKLY, September 2013

“What really strikes my ears are the compositions themselves and the quartet’s handling of them – not just the playing in and of itself, but the amount of thought given to create an unflagging multi-leveled timbre.” -  FAME, August 2013.

"Albare, an exceptionally inventive guitarist, has gathered around him an ensemble of fine talent that seems to have bought into his vision." Jack Goodstein (Blogcritics Review)

“Albare’s sextet of jazz musicians from all around the world complemented his unique playing perfectly, and left the capacity crowd utterly (Melbourne Recital Centre) frothing.” - VULTURE Magazine, June 2013 (AUSTRALIA)

“Modern jazz guitar in the United States has become somewhat predictable. Only a handful of artists are venturing post the accepted norms... Albare comes to us via Australia but brings an exciting if not eclectic mix of        influences to the more mainstream lyrically oriented contemporary genre that is so prevalent in this country.” - NOTJUSTJAZZ, July 2013. (USA)

“Music by the group led by Albare Dadon is quite a bit more exciting than the work of fellow guitarist Earl Klugh on these two albums. But both recordings are good looks at work on the six-string instrument. Albare's “The Road Ahead” is a Pat Metheny-tinged look at world-music-flavored jazz done by a quartet.” - Tribune Review, August 2013 (USA)

"...it really is like Wes Montgomery riding the space shuttle that’ll take us to Mars." - Midwest Record Review, July 2013 (USA)

“… Albare spikes virtuosic guitar playing with a world of influences.” - Capital Bop November 2012 (USA)
